Lifetime Jewelry Warranty & Support
What Is a Lifetime Jewelry Warranty?
A lifetime jewelry warranty provides protection against qualifying manufacturing defects that may occur because of how a piece of jewelry was made. At The Altered Carbon, our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty covers eligible craftsmanship and structural defects for the lifetime of your jewelry, subject to the coverage conditions and exclusions below.
Our warranty is designed to give you confidence when purchasing lab-grown diamond engagement rings, moissanite jewelry, wedding bands, and other fine jewelry from The Altered Carbon.
At The Altered Carbon, every piece is a reflection of exceptional craftsmanship and enduring design. We are committed to creating fine jewelry that is meant to be cherished for a lifetime.
Each creation undergoes meticulous quality checks to ensure it meets our highest standards. In confidence of our craftsmanship, we proudly offer a Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty on all our pieces.
What Does Our Lifetime Jewelry Warranty Cover?
Should your jewelry experience an issue arising from a manufacturing defect, we will take full responsibility for restoring it — at no cost to you.
We stand by every piece for a lifetime, as long as it remains a part of your story.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Loose or weakened prongs
- A stone dislodging due to a setting fault
- Structural issues resulting from craftsmanship
- Manufacturing-related discoloration of gold
Lifetime Warranty Coverage for Engagement Rings
Engagement rings are designed to be worn and cherished for years, which is why The Altered Carbon provides a Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty on our jewelry. The warranty applies to qualifying manufacturing and craftsmanship defects, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Whether you choose a lab-grown diamond engagement ring or a moissanite engagement ring, our warranty is designed to provide long-term support for qualifying manufacturing issues.
Lifetime Warranty on Lab-Grown Diamond Jewelry
The Altered Carbon specializes in lab-grown diamond and moissanite jewelry designed for everyday wear and special occasions. Our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects in your jewelry, including certain setting and craftsmanship issues.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by accidental impact, improper use, normal wear and tear, loss, theft, chemicals, or other exclusions described below.
What Does a Lifetime Jewelry Warranty Not Cover?
Fine jewelry is delicate by nature and may show signs of wear over time. Our warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Normal Wear and Tear
Scratches, dents, surface wear, thinning metal and naturally worn components aren't considered manufacturing defects.
- Accidental Damage
Damage caused by impact, mishandling or improper use isn't covered under the manufacturing warranty.
- Lost or Stolen Jewelry
Loss or theft of jewelry isn't covered by the warranty.
- Chemical Damage
Exposure to harsh chemicals, cosmetics or chlorine isn't covered.
- Stone Damage
Diamonds and moissanite can chip or crack from significant impact. Damage caused by impact or everyday wear isn't covered.
While diamonds and moissanite are highly durable, they are not indestructible and may chip or crack under certain conditions.
