What Our Warranty Covers

Should your jewelry experience an issue arising from a manufacturing defect, we will take full responsibility for restoring it — at no cost to you.
We stand by every piece for a lifetime, as long as it remains a part of your story.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Loose or weakened prongs
• A stone dislodging due to a setting fault
• Structural issues resulting from craftsmanship
• Manufacturing-related discoloration of gold

How to Make a Claim

If you believe your piece has a manufacturing concern, please follow the steps below:

• Contact us at support@thealteredcarbon.com with your order details
• Our team will assess the concern and guide you on the next steps
• If required, you may be asked to ship the piece securely to us along with your order information
• Shipping costs for sending the item to us are the responsibility of the customer

Once received, our experts will carefully evaluate the piece to determine if the issue falls under warranty coverage.

• If covered, the repair will be completed at no cost
• If not covered, we will share a repair estimate for your approval before proceeding

Please note: Any repair or modification carried out by a third party will void this warranty.

What Is Not Covered

Fine jewelry is delicate by nature and may show signs of wear over time. Our warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

• Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, or surface wear
• Accidental damage, mishandling, or improper use
• Loss or damage of stones due to impact or everyday wear
• Exposure to harsh chemicals, cosmetics, or chlorine
• Natural wear of metal, including thinning bands or worn prongs
• Theft or loss of jewelry

While diamonds and moissanite are highly durable, they are not indestructible and may chip or crack under certain conditions.

Our Commitment

Even in cases not covered under warranty, we remain committed to supporting you. Should your piece require repair due to wear or accidental damage, we are happy to assist with paid repair services at a minimal cost.

This warranty is valid only when:

• Proof of purchase is provided
• The jewelry has not been altered, resized improperly, or repaired by another jeweler

To preserve the beauty and longevity of your piece, we recommend:

• Removing your jewelry during physical activities, household tasks, and sports
• Avoiding contact with chemicals, perfumes, and cosmetics
• Wearing your jewelry last when going out, and removing it first when returning home
