Step 1: Order Confirmation
The journey begins with your inspiration! Share your vision with the designer through sketches, photos, or a detailed email description. Once the concept is finalized, you'll receive an email confirmation outlining the design, chosen diamonds, and estimated timeline.
Step 2: 3D CAD Design
Your vision then comes to life through a 3D CAD model. This digital design allows you to visualize the piece in detail from various angles and make any adjustments before moving forward. You'll receive an email with the 3D model to review and approve.
Step 3: Wax Piece Or Rapid Prototyping
Once the design is finalized, a master wax model is created using either traditional hand carving or 3D printing technology. This intricate replica of the final piece acts as a template for the casting process.
In some cases, instead of a wax model, the 3D design might be directly translated into a master model using rapid prototyping technology like resin printing. This offers precise detail and faster turnaround times.
Step 4: Casting
The lost-wax casting technique is often used. The mould is filled with a special investment material, then heated to melt the wax model. Molten metal (gold, platinum, etc.) is then poured into the cavity left by the melted wax, creating a metal replica of the original design.
Step 5: Stone Setting
Skilled artisans meticulously set the stones into the prepared metalwork, using techniques like prong setting, bezel setting, or pave setting, depending on the design and desired effect.
Step 6: Polishing
The piece undergoes meticulous polishing to remove any imperfections and achieve a gleaming shine. This final step reveals the true brilliance of the stones and the metalwork.
Step 7: Quality Check
Each piece undergoes a rigorous quality control process to ensure it meets the highest standards. This involves checking for stone security, metalwork integrity, and overall craftsmanship.
Step 8: Shipping
The finished masterpiece is carefully packaged in a secure and luxurious box, often accompanied with a certificate of authenticity and care instructions. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.
